Springeight Lineup

My brother just sent me an email this morning, telling me that the line-up for this year’s Springfestival – the Springeight – which will take place all over Graz between 21st and 25th May, is finally online now. Go check it out here. Here are just a few artists, that I’d particularly like to see:
- The Streets
- Róisín Murphy
- Diesler ft Katie Miller
- Makossa & Megablast
- Simbad
- Señor Coconut and his Orchestra…
So you can see where this is going. I hope I will manage to go there this year.
Improv Everywhere
Recently I found this video through dublinblog.ie. A group called “Improv Everywhere” had about 200 people freeze the Grand Central Station in New York City (just watch the video, it’s amazing and it had more than 5 million views since 31st January!). And they’re doing more stuff like this, watch their website for this, or watch this video including an interview with man who had the idea for all this.
“Seasons” coming in April!
This April The Collective will release their latest mountainbike film “Seasons“. This time the concept was to accompany seven riders – among them guys like Steve Peat, Andrew Shandro or Darren Berrecloth – throughout a year (4 seasons), which gave the title.
This is – after “The Collective” and “Roam” – their third film and from what I’ve seen in the trailer it’s going to be just as great as their predecessors. You can watch the trailer below or go to www.thecollectivefilm.com to watch some more clips as well as the trailer in higher resolution.
Jeans Team @ Fluc Wanne
Last Saturday I was at the Fluc Wanne on the Praterstern where the regular Pling Plong Klub took place. This time they had Jeans Team from Berlin as special guests, which was why I went there.
Acutally their concert was great, yes a bit short maybe.
The Fluc Wanne is a former pedestrian underpass and has a T-shape so you can’t see the stage from everywhere. As the location was sold out, it was very crowded in fornt of the stage during the concert. Nevertheless I enjoyed the concert, Jeans Team made the people move.
Photo walk – Bahnhof Landstraße
Last Saturday afternoon I went to Landstraße/Wien-Mitte train station which is (like all other main train stations in Vienna) in massive reconstruction at the moment/soon. The market hall which was until now integrated in the station building was closed down last Friday, probably forever. So after I had seen theses photos on Friday I decided to go there myself to take some photos of the hall (luckily it was not locked yet) and the rest of the train station. Here are some of the best pictures of this afternoon, you can see more on my Flickr page.

New wall decoration
Recently I finished the new wall decoration for my room. For this one I got inspiration from this Instructable. Actually I didn’t have that many CD cases and also I thought that it would look nicer with real picture frames. So I bought four packs of Clips 10×15 frames from IKEA which are just 0,99€ per pack.
Then I chose this photo which is a street scene from Dublin which I took in October 2006. It shows Liberty Hall and on the bridge DART train approaching Connolly Station. I edited the photo in Gimp (applied the “Newsprint” filter), printed it and cut it to fit in the frames.
The trickiest part – by far – was to hang the frames on the wall, all with the same spacing in between, but I also managed this in the end. Well it’s not completely accurate but OK. I think the final result looks quite good.
